hello and welcome to soul food cooking today I'll be making hash browns you will need two russet potatoes 1 egg 2 tablespoons of clarified butter one half cup of onion one-fourth cup of all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon of garlic salt 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper shred the potatoes rinse and dry them then transfer them to a bowl add the onion egg and flour next season with the salt pepper and garlic salt and mix until the potatoes are thoroughly coated bring your butter to temperature and cook the potatoes on medium heat for four minutes on both sides remove your hash browns from the pan and now they're ready to serve this classic breakfast side this is easy to make and goes great with just about anything thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe to soul food cooking.
