I'm cookbook author Caroline Randall Williams and I'm here to help you do better when it comes to healthy eating with five everyday tips.
Tip 1: Keep a food photo journal.
It's a great way to keep track of what you're eating, and it's quick, easy, and more accurate than writing it down.
Tip 2: Keep color on your plate.
Fruits and veggies are colorful and that is where you get your vitamins and your nutrients.
Your food photo journal is great for that too, so you can really keep track of how much color is going on to your plate and into your body.
Tip 3: Find an app.
Your phone can be a great health coach if you know how to use it.
There are tons of apps on the market.
I would use Ada’s App, which you can find in the Apple store.
Tip 4: Make yourself a cooking playlist.
I love to dance in the kitchen.
It's fun, it relieves stress, and it's good exercise which leads me into Tip 5… Make time for friends and family.
Even if you're across the country from each other, cooking can still be a way to connect.
I love to put a pot of soup on the stove and then call my mama and catch up with her while it's simmering.
Cooking can be a great way to connect no matter where you are in relation to your loved ones.
